Every Scanix account is eligible for one 30-day free trial. The trial includes the Standard tier of features, runs on one device, and doesn't require a credit card.
Before you start
You'll need:
- A Scanix account (create one here)
- A verified email address — check your inbox for the verification link if you haven't already
Start your trial
- Sign in and go to /account/licenses.
- Click Start free trial.
- We'll issue your trial license and email you the activation key.
That's it — no card, no commitment.
What happens next
- You'll receive an email titled "Your Scanix trial is ready" with your activation key.
- Your trial is visible on the Licenses page with the expiry date and days remaining.
- You can now download the desktop app and activate it with your key.

Troubleshooting
"Start free trial button is missing." Either you already used your free trial (each account is eligible once), or your email isn't verified yet. Check your inbox or sign in with forgot password — that flow re-sends a verification email.
"I never got the activation key email." Check spam. If it's still missing after 5 minutes, visit /account/licenses — your trial license is also visible there with a Download key button.
"My trial is showing 0 days even though I just started it." Refresh the page. If the issue persists, contact support — there may have been a license issuance hiccup we need to fix manually.
