Overview
How Scanix licenses are structured — SKUs, tiers, and what each includes.
A Scanix license is the root of your entitlement. It tells the desktop app what you can do, on how many devices, until when, and on which release channel.
Anatomy of a license
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | Stable identifier (ULID). Use this when contacting support. |
sku | trial, subscription, or perpetual. |
tier | standard, pro, or enterprise. |
status | active, past_due, canceled, or revoked. |
max_devices | How many devices can hold a live activation at once. |
channel | Update channel: stable, beta, or nightly. |
exp_at | When the license expires. After this, activations fail. |
maintenance_until | Until when this license can install new feature releases. |
Tiers at a glance
- Standard — the everyday creator tier. Single device by default.
- Pro — adds team features, priority support, and 3 device slots.
- Enterprise — custom seat counts, SSO, and audit log export.

Trials
A trial is a real license with sku=trial, capped at 30 days and one device.
Trials cannot be renewed automatically; if you want to keep using Scanix past
day 30, pick a paid plan.
