Find your invoices and receipts
Download invoices, view payment history, and update billing details from the Stripe Billing Portal.
We use Stripe to handle billing. Your invoices, receipts, and payment history live in the Stripe Billing Portal, accessible from your Scanix account.
Open the billing portal
- Sign in and go to /account/billing.
- Click View invoices (or Manage subscription in some layouts).
- You'll be redirected to the Stripe Billing Portal — it opens in the same tab.
The portal is hosted by Stripe, but it's tied to your Scanix subscription specifically; you don't need a Stripe account.
What you can do in the portal
- Download invoices as PDFs (each invoice has a Download invoice button)
- Download receipts for individual payments
- Update your billing email (the address invoices go to — independent of your Scanix account email)
- Change your card (see Update your payment method)
- Update your billing address and tax ID (for VAT / GST / etc.)
- View payment history including any refunds
Download a single invoice
- Open the Stripe Billing Portal (steps above).
- Scroll to Invoice history.
- Click an invoice row.
- Click Download invoice for a PDF, or Download receipt for a payment receipt.
Both are valid for accounting and tax purposes.
Update your billing email
By default, invoices go to the same email you used to sign up for Scanix. To send them somewhere else (e.g. your accounting team):
- Open the billing portal.
- Click Update information in the top right.
- Change the Billing email field.
- Click Save.
This only affects billing emails. Other Scanix emails (account, support, product) still go to your account email — change that at /account/settings.
Tax IDs (VAT, GST, etc.)
If your business needs a tax ID on invoices for VAT reclaim or compliance:
- Open the billing portal.
- Click Update information.
- Add your Tax ID in the appropriate field (the format is country-specific).
- Save.
Tax IDs apply to invoices going forward; we can't retroactively re-issue past invoices with a new tax ID, but Stripe can issue a credit note + replacement invoice — contact support if you need that.
Troubleshooting
"View invoices button does nothing." Pop-up blockers occasionally interfere. Allow pop-ups for scanix.co and try again. The portal opens in the same tab in most setups.
"I'm being asked to sign in to Stripe." You shouldn't need to — the link from Scanix is pre-authenticated for your subscription. If you see a Stripe sign-in screen, the portal session expired. Go back to /account/billing and click View invoices again.
"My invoice is missing my company name." Update the Billing information section in the portal — Stripe regenerates the invoice with the new details. For invoices already issued, contact support and we'll re-issue with corrected details.
